ITs not only food that can provide you with the nutrients you need but by d

Cacao Nibs are the Mayan 'Food of the Gods'. They are rich in minerals and natural feel-good brain chemicals and have more antioxidants than any other food tested. Raw cacao beans have an antioxidant (ORAC) score of 95,500. To put that into perspective, that is 14 times more flavonoids (antioxidants) than red wine and 21 times more than green tea. Cacao also promotes cardiovascular health and acts as a natural anti depressant.

They are also extremely high in magnesium and a 28 gram serving of raw cacao beans gives 314% of the recommended daily allowance of iron.

Chia Seeds are THE BEST non-marine whole food source of Omega-3 &  Omega-6 essential fatty acids!  They are also very beneficial to the heart and extremely high in fibre, calcium, slowly processed carbohydrates and are loaded with vitamins,  minerals and antioxidants. Chia seeds contain 20% protein with all essential amino acids, which our bodies are unable to produce themselves.

Chia seeds are very beneficial for athletes as they are highly hydrophilic meaning they can absorb large amounts of water making them  great for hydrating our bodies.

Goji Berries, grown in inner Mongolia and Tibet are rich in antioxidants,  making it an ideal natural  food for reversing aging and protecting against disease. They protect the liver, help eyesight, improve sexual function and fertility, strengthen the legs, boost immune function, improve circulation and promote longevity. Goji berries are  a very rich source of vitamin C, having 500 times more vitamin C per ounce than oranges. They are an excellent source of vitamins A, B1, B2, B6 and E and contain 18 amino acids, the building blocks of protein  and  multiple trace minerals.

Maca, a staple in the Peruvian Andes for thousands of years,  was consumed by Inca warriors to increase strength and endurance. Maca is known to increase energy and labido, as well as supporting fertility and enhancing immune system function.  It is rich in natural sugars,  fibre, and important minerals, such as iron, magnesium, calcium, and phosphorous. Dried maca powder contains more than 10% protein, nearly 20 amino acids, and 7 of the 9 essential amino acids.

Camu Camu is a small bushy tree in the the Amazon Rainforest  in Peru and Brazil, which bears a red/purple cherry like fruit.

The most important property of the camu camu fruit is its extraordinarily high Vitamin C content,  as it can have concentrations as high as 50,000 ppm or about 2 g of vitamin C per 100 g of fruit. That means that the camu berry provides 50 times more vitamin C than an orange which usually only has  around 1,000 ppm of vitamin C. As a result it is often used in prevention and treatment of flu and colds and to strengthen the immune system.  Camu camu flesh is also rich in antioxidants and is a good anti-aging substance.

Lucuma, originally from Peru,  is also known as the "Gold of the Incas"  It is an excellent source of carbohydrates, fibre, vitamins and minerals and naturally occurring beta-carotene, niacin, and iron. It is also high in calcium, phosphorus and vitamin C. Lucuma is considered a healthy alternative sweetener filled with nutrients but  very low in sugars.

Hemp contains the perfect balanced  ratio of important fatty acids, Omega 3,6 and 9 which are highly beneficial in maintaining a healthy immune system and heart. Rich in both Magnesium and Iron, hemp is also considered  one of the few vegetarian sources of a complete protein as it contains all 9 essential amino acids which our bodies cannot produce.

Flax Seed:  52% of the fat in Flaxseed is the Essential Fatty Acid Omega-3 which our bodies cannot produce. Omega -3 helps reduce inflammation in our bodies and helps maintain a healthy heart.   Due to its high fibre content it is known to  help lower cholesterol  and stabilize blood sugar levels. Flax is also high in phytochemicals, including many antioxidants and Lignan a type of phyto-oestrogen which assists in eliminating excess free radicals from the body.

However it needs to be ground to a powder otherwise it will pass through our system.

Spirulina is a tiny aquatic plant that has been eaten by humans since prehistoric times and is grown worldwide as a healthy food. Imagine a vegetable with more protein than soy, more Vitamin A than carrots, more iron than beef, profound source of protective phytochemicals, naturally low in fat, source of the essential fatty acid GLA and is easy to digest. Spirulina promotes health in many ways. It powerfully protects from oxidant stress and strongly supports the immune system and a healthy inflammatory response. Scientific studies suggest it may be especially good for the brain, heart, immune system and more.

Wheatgrass is an excellent provider of proteins required for cell regeneration and renowned for its healing properties. Just 2 ounces of juice provides the same nourishment as up to 4 pounds of fresh, green vegetables. It helps to maintain healthy digestion, purify and build the blood, and is an excellent all round detoxifier. Wonderfully energizing and very useful for helping in times of increased stress or illness.
